![]() ![]() Action functions well including the double set triggers and the bolt is correctly serial numbered to the gun. The scope itself rates very fine to excellent with nearly all of its original finish. The original silver bead sporting front sight is in place as is the two leaf rear and the receiver appears factory fitted for quick-detach “Viennese” scope mounts which currently mount a Hensoldt Wetzlar Dialytan 4X scope with heavy three crosshair reticle and bright excellent optics. The smooth trapdoor buttplate was neatly refinished and there is a crack at the toe both left and right which could easily be arrested. It shows a rounded left side cheekpiece and a small plug atop the comb where there was no doubt once a removable Monte Carlo added. The checkered walnut round knob pistolgrip buttstock rates excellent as very lightly, very neatly refinished years ago. The bottom metal is drifting a bit while the triggerguard and is toning to plum. ![]() The bolt catch and cartridge release show some pale purple-straw color with the bolt body and handle showing strong original blue. The barreled action retains 97% excellent quality restored rust blue, the loss is due only to even fading, the bright-polished raceways of the receiver still brilliant. ![]() Serial #24368, 6.5x54MS, 18” barrel with a bright excellent bore.
